Graduated in Social Work by the Instituto Superior de Serviço Social do Porto, Master in Sociology by the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto and PhD in Social Work by ISCTE-IUL, she is currently a professor at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro as part of the degree and master's degree in Social Work since 2017. With different institutional experiences in teaching in Social Work and Gerontology, she practices an activist pedagogy in the scope of gender inequality and violence against women, in the anti-racist struggle under the perspective of a Critical, Radical and Structural Social Work.
