I
am
a
researcher
who
applies
emerging
digital
technologies
within
architecture
to
address
societal
challenges
related
to
inclusion
and
justice
in
the
built
environment.
I
currently
expand
my
scope
on
shared
heritage
in
Africa
to
improve
living
conditions
in
former
plantations.
My
vision
is
that
architecture
and
the
built
environment
should
become
meaningful
to
people.
I
see
modern
digital
technology
in
architecture
as
an
essential
and
effective
means
for
innovative
approaches.I
am
an
expert
in
digital
technologies
applied
to
architecture
design
and
heritage,
namely
shape
grammar
design
systems,
virtual
and
augmented
reality,
and
space
syntax.
I
am
also
working
on
analysing
the
building
environment,
namely
considering
space
perception
to
achieve
a
user-centred
design
and
reduce
segregation
and
lack
of
accessibility. I
graduated
in
Architecture
(FA.UTL
1998)
and
have
a
Ph.D.
in
Architecture
(IST.UTL
2012)
with
the
title
“Transformation
grammar-based
methodology
for
housing
rehabilitation:
meeting
contemporary
functional
and
ICT
