Tiago Correia is guest assistant professor and integrated research fellow at School of Sociology and Public Policies, Lisbon University Institute, Portugal, where he coordinates undergraduate and graduate courses in sociology of health, health policies and medical epistemology. With 10 years experience in academic teaching; supervision and as a reviewer, he has been also engaged with scientific networks in Europe, Canada and Brazil on topics related to health systems governance, organizational functioning, professionals' behavior and interactions, patients' narratives, health inequalities, and medical ethics. He is frequently invited to give seminars and specialized training to regulators, health professionals, managers and lawyers. He also provides technical advice to Portuguese and international institutions in research methods and evidence-based policy decisions and been part of research projects advisory panels with competitive funding. His work has been published in the format of books, chapters and peer-reviewed articles. Several prizes and distinctions have awarded his scientific pathway.
