Nuno
Oliveira
is
a
sociologist
with
a
PhD
in
Sociology
from
ISCTE-IUL
(2012).
He
is
a
post-doctoral
researcher
at
CIES
(ISCTE
-IUL)
and
visiting
assistant
professor
at
ISCTE
-IUL. As
a
researcher,
he
develops
work
on
local
dynamics
of
immigrant
integration
and
urban
policies,
the
meaning
of
intercultural
models,
and
the
political
and
theoretical
transition
from
multiculturalism
to
interculturalism,
with
a
particular
focus
on
the
deep
understanding
of
the
Portuguese
model.
He
was
a
visiting
fellow
at
the
Max
Planck
Institute
for
the
Study
of
Religious
and
Ethnic
Diversity
in
Gottingen.Currently,
he
coordinates,
in
Portugal,
the
project
SINAFE
(Erasmus
+
sport),
focused
on
the
social
inclusion
of
African
athletes
in
Europe
and
the
construction
of
a
curriculum
for
their
sports
careers.
