Mineiro
has
a
Master's
degree
in
Sociology
and
a
PhD
in
Anthropology
from
ISCTE
-
University
Institute
of
Lisbon.
Currently
is
a
researcher
at
the
Centre
for
Research
in
Anthropology
(CRIA).
He
has
researched
the
topics
of
the
state,
institutions
and
political
ideologies,
parliamentary
system
and
political
representation,
higher
education
policies,
student
hazing,
inequalities,
and
social
classes.
He
is
author
or
co-author
of
several
books,
articles,
and
scientific
reports
on
these
topics,
and
has
participated
in
research
teams
at
the
University
of
Lisbon,
the
NOVA
University
Lisbon,
and
ISCTE-IUL,
in
projects
funded
by
the
Calouste
Gulbenkian
Foundation,
Francisco
Manuel
dos
Santos
Foundation
and
the
Directorate-General
for
Higher
Education.
He
has
received
nine
academic
awards,
including
the
"Sociological
Research
Initiation
Award"
from
the
Portuguese
Sociological
Association
(2019)
and
the
ISCTE-IUL
Academic
Merit
Diploma
for
classification
in
the
Masters
in
Sociology
(2015).
