The Commemorative Meeting of the launching of nr 100 of the SPP Journal took place on the 18th November at Iscte and brought together researchers and employees of the Centre.
The current Editorial Board of the Journal, composed by António Firmino da Costa, Helena Carvalho, Nuno Nunes, Sónia Cardoso Pintassilgo and Susana da Cruz Martins, presented the latest issue of the Journal and recalled the path taken over the last 37 years, since its creation.
The meeting counted with a complete exhibition of all issues released by Sociologia, Problemas e Práticas and with a small commemorative snack.

In the course of these 100 issues, the Revista Sociologia, Problemas e Práticas has published about a thousand articles - having made a significant contribution to the institutionalization of sociology in the country, to the development of sociological research, and to the availability and dissemination of a wide range of knowledge results about society and its processes of change.

CIES-Iscte has published the scientific journal uninterruptedly since 1986, with the aim of disseminating articles of sociological analysis resulting from original research, theory development, or thematic evaluation.
In 2022, the SPP Journal published no. 100 which features a series of quality articles, headed by a tribute to the sociologist João Ferreira de Almeida.
