The 3rd International Seminar of the Disability Studies Center aims to share experiences and knowledge on a very relevant, challenging and current topic for academia: the inclusion of students with disabilities in higher education. With this in mind, the aim was to design a diversified and attractive program that brings good international experiences into dialogue with practices at Portuguese universities, including Iscte.

In addition to the special participation of Prof. Edurne Garcia Iriarte, from Trinity College Dublin (Ireland), as guest international speaker, the event will also include a panel of students with disabilities. Their testimonies will highlight the main positive aspects, as well as the challenges and improvements needed for inclusion in higher education in Portugal.

The seminar will be held in accessible conditions and will include interpretation in Portuguese Sign Language.
