a
Senior
Lecturer
with
tenure
in
Political
Science
at
Iscte-IUL,
a
researcher
at
CIES-Iscte,
a
delegate
for
Iscte-IUL
at
the
Pioneer
Alliance,
and
co-chair
of
the
Council
of
Europe's
Social
Movements
Research
Network.
Since
2020,
I
have
co-coordinated
the
Politics
and
Citizenship
research
group
(CIES-Iscte)
and
am
currently
director
of
the
Observatory
of
Democracy
and
Political
Representation.
Between
2018
and
2022,
I
coordinated,
as
PI,
the
FCT-funded
research
project
HOPES
-
HOusing
PErspectives
and
Struggles.
Futures
of
housing
movements,
policies,
and
dynamics
in
Lisbon
and
beyond
(€230,000).
My
area
of
research
is
social
movements,
with
a
special
interest
in
processes
of
political
radicalization,
the
role
of
protest
in
political
change,
digital
activism,
gentrification,
and
movements
for
the
right
to
housing
and
the
city.
I
have
published
several
articles
in
journals
