Joana

Marques
is
a
sociologist,
tenured
researcher

the
Centre
for
Research
and
Studies
in
Sociology
(CIES-Iscte)
and
invited
auxiliary
professor
at
Iscte
–
University
Institute
of
Lisbon. She
holds
a
PhD
in
Sociology
from
the
University
of
São
Paulo
(2016);
a
Master's
in
Social
and
Solidarity
Economy
(2010)
and
a
postgraduate
diploma
in
Data
Analysis
in
Social
Sciences
(2011),
both
from
ISCTE-IUL;
and
a
degree
in
Sociology
from
the
University
of
Porto
(2004),
including
a
one-year
exchange
at
the
University
of
Bergen.
She
has
a
professional
trajectory
in
social
research,
with
a
focus
on
the
areas
of
labour
studies,
culture,
solidarity
economy,
and
mobilities.She
was
a
Marie-Curie
Fellow
from
2020
to
2021
and
has
contributed
to
various
national
and
international
