Mundos Sociais is the CIES publishing house, and has as its main vocation the publishing of highs quality scientific works (or of scientific popularization) developed in the areas of sociology, political science or other social sciences.

Beyond its main catalogue, the publisher puts out the scientific journal Sociologia, Problemas e Práticas, the Questões de Partida series and the  Desigualdades series coordinated by the Observatório das Desigualdades(Observatory on Inequalities).
