On 16 April 2026, CIES hosts the conference "Women in Sport: Visibility, Power and Gender Equality".
This conference offers a critical reflection on sport as a social space where dynamics of power, regimes of visibility and gender inequalities intersect. In a context shaped by media and institutional transformations, it seeks to understand how legal and media structures influence the recognition and participation of women in the sporting field.
The conference will take place at Room A104, Building 4, Iscte, starting at 14h00, and is structured around two thematic panels.
