About Global Dialogue
Founded by the ISA, Global Dialogue is published three times a year and translated into multiple languages. Its focus is on pluralistic sociological dialogue, amplifying perspectives often absent from dominant academic circuits. Each issue is organized around thematic dossiers and an open section, combining analytical rigour with accessibility to broader audiences.
The April 2026 issue (Vol. 16, No. 1), coordinated by editor Breno Bringel, features two thematic dossiers: Rethinking Sociology in Iran, which examines the tensions of sociological practice in contexts of political repression and epistemic surveillance, and The Political and Social Economy of Labor Migration, which analyses the centrality of labour migration in the reorganisation of capitalism. The issue also includes an essay on the war in Gaza, offering an analysis that crosses political, economic, and colonial dynamics.
