have

bachelor’s

in
Social
Communication
with
a
specialism
in
Journalism
from
the
Federal
University
of
Minas
Gerais
(UFMG,
Brazil),
a
masters
in
Sociology
(University
of
Porto,
Portugal)
and
I
am
a
PhD
candidate
in
Urban
Studies
(Nova
University
of
Lisbon
+
ISCTE-IUL).
I
work
as
a
PhD
scholar
(funded
by
the
FCT,
the
Portuguese
Foundation
for
Science
and
Technology,
grant
2022.09498.BD)
at
the
Centre
for
Research
and
Studies
in
Sociology
(CIES)
of
ISCTE
–
Instituto
Universitário
de
Lisboa
(Portugal).
I
have
attended
modules
in
the
Master's/PhD
programme
and
short-term
courses
in
Social
Anthropology
at
the
University
of
São
Paulo,
specialising
in
urban
anthropology
and
urban
ethnography.Over
the
past
five
years
my
scientific
research
has
focused
on
three
main
topics:

Migration
and
inequalities:
privilege
and
precarious
migration
to
cities.

Urban
