Project Cli-CC.HE aims at developing and testing newer learning/teaching experiences to stimulate students to acquire skills in the regeneration of urban environments, accustoming them to confront the complexity.
This depends on a relationship between urban planning, human health, environment protection, the impact of climage change, and knowledge of participation processes.
The CLICCHE learning process will use several inconventional educational modalities, such as: interactive data visualization modalities (virtual, mixed, and augmented reality); public art; urban simulation games exploration.
The project will involve some representatitve groups of citizens, professionals, and public administrations.
MAIN OBJECTIVES
- Allowing students to evaluate change effects on urban health and equity;
- Increasing the students’ interest in the topic of urban regeneration;
- Innovating the teaching activities by applying a transdisciplinary approach and involving citizens through immersive virtual environments, simulation games and public art;
- Promoting the knowledge in the public administration to develop health-oriented, climate-proof urban plans and projects;
- Raising citizens’ awareness of climate changes’ effects on health.
