As part of the research project AspirE – Decision making of aspiring (re)migrants to and within the EU: the case of labour market-leading migrations from Asia, Iscte - University Institute of Lisbon is hosting the exhibition Asian Lives in Europe until 9 January 2026. The exhibition brings together testimonies and creative works that reflect on belonging, mobility, and identity.

Asian Lives in Europe presents personal stories, artworks, and cultural expressions that reveal how Asian identities are shaped, reinterpreted, and shared within the European context. Through an innovative methodology based on video diaries, the AspirE research team has captured unique perspectives on migrant experiences, giving voice to multiple life stories and trajectories that cross geographical and cultural borders.
More than an artistic showcase, Asian Lives in Europe invites the public to reflect on belonging, diversity, and mobility, fostering intercultural dialogue and recognition of the plurality of experiences that shape contemporary European societies.

The exhibition can be visited at Iscte, Building 4 (2nd floor), and is also available online at the official website.
