O caminho de ferro na formação da metrópole de Lisboa
Seminar | October, 20 2025
The seminar ‘Revisiting the 19th Century’ is organised by Gonçalo Rocha Gonçalves and Paulo Jorge Fernandes, in collaboration between CIES-Iscte and Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
Aimed at researchers and students from both institutions and the wider academic community, the seminar sessions will alternate locations between Iscte and Nova, with each session held at a different institution in succession throughout the academic year. These sessions are dedicated to new and innovative research on the Long 19th Century.
The first thematic session on ‘O caminho de ferro na formação da metrópole de Lisboa’ will be led by Professor Magda Pinheiro. The meeting will take place on 20 October 2025, at FCSH - Avenida de Berna (Auditorium B1).
